Butter Tarts

Ingredients

  • Pastry
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. orange juice
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Filling
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup sifted brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients for pastry.
Knead a few times and shape into ball.
Flatten into circle.
Put in ziploc bag and chill for 1 hour.
Roll and cut.

Mix all ingredients for filling.
Fill shells.

Bake at 375 for 6 - 8 minutes.
