White Seafood Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 61/2-oz cans minced clams, drained, save juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced fine
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp crushed oregano leaves
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 4-oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 Tbsp dehydrated parsley
  • 1/4 c margarine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 3 c milk
  • 1 c half-and-half

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions and garlic in olive oil until onion is limp but not dark.

Add mushrooms, oregano, parsley, margarine, flour, pepper, and salt.

Meanwhile, heat half-and-half, milk, and clam juice.

Slowly add to flour mixture in skillet; stir and heat until thickened.

Add clams and heat over low heat.
