Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed corn chips
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 can chopped green chilies, drained, 4 oz
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, about 3 oz
  • 1 can tomato sauce, 8 oz
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Mix corn chips, egg and water. Press into 9" pie plate or casserole. Bake for 10 mins.

2. Meanwhile, in large bowl, mix onion soup mix, ground beef, chilies, and 1/2 cup cheese; evenly press into prepared crust. Top with tomato sauce, then green pepper and bake 30 mins. Top with remaining cheese, then bake another 5 mins or until cheese is melted and beef is done.
