Banoffi Pie

  • 6 oz shortcrust pastry, uncooked
  • 1 large tin condensed milk
  • 1 tsp powdered instant coffee
  • 1 oz berry sugar
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • 1 large banana

Preparation

Step 1

Immerse can of condensed milk unopened in boiling water, cover & simmer for 3 hours. Remove & allow to cool before opening, it will be toffee-like. Line the flan with pastry & bake blind. Whip cream with coffee & sugar. Spread the toffee into the pastry shell, cover with bananas & lastly with the cream mix. Decorate a la nouveau cuisine.
