Ingredients

  • 1/2 gallon whole milk
  • 1/2 gallon half and half
  • 2 cups Carolina Long Grain Rice
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Place milk, half & half, rice sugar and salt in Large pot to boil.

Once boiling, turn heat to medium and cook for 45-60 minutes

Do NOT cover. STIR frequently.

Remove from heat.

In a separate bowl, mix the eggs and vanilla. Then add to the rice mixture and mix well.

Pour into dish and sprinkle heavily with cinnamon. Let cool, then refrigerate until ready to serve.
