Ingredients

  • 1 lb hot pork sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced (2 1/2 oz)
  • 3/4 cup green pepper, diced (3 oz)
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 15 oz can of pumpkin
  • 2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a Dutch oven, brown the sausage and onions; drain the grease.

Add the remaining ingredients (except the toppings). Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 20-30 minutes. Serve with cheese and green onions.

Can be frozen
