Oven Baked Amaretto French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons corn syrup
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of half and half
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp Amaretto
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Pepperidge Farm Bread or Sourdough Bread

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a sauce pan melt butter with brown sugar and corn syrup
Stir until smooth. Pour in a greased 13x9 dish.

2. Cut edges off the bread and then cut into 12-16 one inch squares. Arrange bread in pan.

3. In a bowl, wisk eggs, half and half, vanilla, amaretto and salt. Pour over bread and refrigerate over night

Pre heat oven 350˚ - Bake uncovered until puffed and edges are a pale gold - about 40 minutes

Remove from oven and flip over onto a plate!
