Shredded Brussels Sprouts with Turkey Bacon

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces Brussels sprouts
  • 2 teaspoons canola oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 ounces cooked turkey bacon

Preparation

Step 1

First, shred the Brussels sprouts: Slice off woody stems and remove any tough or dried outer leaves. Then, cut each sprout in half lengthwise and thinlly slice from root to top. Gently tease apart the layers.

Heat skillet over medium heat and add canola oil. Sauté shredded Brussels sprouts with garlic powder, onion powder, and salt & pepper to taste. After they're nice and soft (about 10 mins), add crumbled, cooked turkey bacon and toss before serving.
