Ingredients
- 1 bag Japanese black beans
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
Preparation
Step 1
Soak the beans for several hours in cold water.
Boil gently for 2 hours.
Add sugar all at once. Do not stir, just let the sugar dissolve.
Cover with foil and gently cook for 20 minutes.
Add soy sauce and simmer 2 to 3 minutes.
Let sit overnight.
The next day, reheat slowly until the beans just come to a boil.
Remove from heat
