Ingredients
- 2 pkg active dry yeast
- 2 cups warm milk
- 6 ½ to 7 cups flour
- 2 eggs. lightly beaten
- ¼ cup butter, melted and cooled
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in milk.
Add 4 cups flour, eggs, butter, sugar, and salt and beat till smooth.
Add enough of remaining flour to make a soft dough.
Turn out and knead 6 - 8 minutes.
Place in greased bowl and let rise in warm place about 1 hour
Punch down and divide into thirds.
Roll each third into a 12-inch circle and cut each in 12 wedges.
Roll up wedges and place pointed end down on greased sheets.
Cover and let rise until doubled.(about 30 minutes)
Bake at 400° for 12 - 14 minutes until golden brown.
Brush with melted butter
