Russian Teacakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 400 degrees

1. Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, & vanilla
2. Work in flour, salt, & nuts until dough holds
together
3. Shape dough into 1 inch balls
4. Place on ungreased baking sheet
5. Bake 10 - 12 minutes or until set but not brown
6. While warm, roll in confectioners' sugar
7. Cool & roll in sugar again

Makes about 4 dozen cookies
