Southern Peach Yam Bake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 4 large yams
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 16 oz can sliced peaches, drained
  • 1 1/2 cup or whatever it takes to cover it - mini marshmallows

Preparation

Step 1

Boil yams in salt water. Peel when done. Grease casserole dish. Slice yams. In casserole dish, layer yams then peaches and so forth. Combine other ingredients except marshmallows until smooth. Sprinkle over top of yams and cover with marshmallows. Bake at 350 for 35 - 45 minutes. When done, if needs to be a little browner - put under broiler for short time to brown tops of marshmallows.
