Aunt Zella's Overnight Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Marshmellows (cut)
  • 1 large can chunk pineapple (cut and drained)
  • 1 medium size jar maraschino cherries (drained)
  • 1 can mandarin oranges (drained)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 Tbsp Cream (whipping)
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

1. Combine egg yolks, cream, and lemon juice in small pan. Stir over low heat until mixture thickens (soon after it comes to a boil. Cool
2. Whip remaining 1/2 pt cream
3. Add cooled cooked dressing to whipped cream. pour over fruit and marshmellows. Refrigerate overnight.
