Ingredients
- 1 lb small cleaned squid
- 3 tbsp. oil
- 1 inch piece of giner root, grated
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 8 green onions, cut diagonally into 1 inch lengths
- 1 red pepper, seeded and juliened
- 1 fresh green chili, seeeded and juliened
- 6 mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tsp. five-spice powder
- 2 tbsp. black bean sauce
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. rice wine
Preparation
Step 1
Score the squid and cut into strips
Heat oil in wok, sitr fry the squid. Remove and set aside.
Add ginger, garlic, onions, red pepper, chili, and mushrooms to the oil and stir fry for 2 minutes.
Return the squid to the wok and stir in five-spice powder.
Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook for 1 minute
