Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 pkg (1 cup) chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour with baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla and egg. Stir in dry ingredients. Add walnuts and chocolate pieces. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets, about 2 to 3 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes or until cookies spring back when lightly touched in center. Let stand about 1 minute. Remove to wire rack to cool. Makes about 36 cookies.
