Homemade Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 8 McIntosh or other cooking apples (2 3/4lb), peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Pinch cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Combine apples, water, sugar and cinnamon in large saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to med-low, cove and cook until water is absorbed, 20-25 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Mash with potato masher or fork. Refrigerate up to one week.
