Peanut Butter Chocolate Kiss Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 c. shortening
• 1/2 c. peanut butter
• 1/2 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 T milk
• 1 t vanilla
• 3/4 t. baking soda
• 1/2 t salt
• 1/4 c sugar
• 48 chocolate kisses

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening & peanut butter; gradually add 1/2 c. sugar & brown sugar, beating until light & fluffy.
Add egg, milk & vanilla; beat well.
Combine flour, soda & salt; add to creamed mixture.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls & then roll in 1/4 c. sugar.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 8 mins.
Remove from oven; press a kiss into the center of each cookie.
Return to oven for 2 mins or until lightly browned.
