Creamy Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons light butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced shallot
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons brandy
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 2 tablespoons nonfat sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

1. Saute shallot in butter 2 mins. Add garlic, cook 1 min. Add mushrooms-s&p. Cook 6 mins.

2. Increase heat and cook until almost all of liquid evaporates. Add brandy. Cook 1 min. Stir in flour. Cook until smooth. Add milk. Simmer 5 mins.

3. Add sour cream, heat through.
