Salisbury Steak Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz) can mushroom gravy

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix all ingredients, except gravy.
2. Shape into 6 oblong patties.
3. In a skillet, brown patties in a
small amount of butter or
shortening, on both sides.
4. Pour off any fat.
5. Add gravy, cover and simmer for 20
minutes.
6. Serve with mashed potatoes and a
vegetable.
