Cheese Grits Soufle

Ingredients

  • 1 cup quick-cooking grits
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Salt & pepper t taste
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese - grated

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Put 1 cup of grits in 3 cups of boiling water. Cook very medium heat until very thick. Remove from heat & add butter. Stir in salt & pepper.

Beat eggs & milk together. Add to grits & mix well. Add cheese.

Pour into a 3 quart greased casserole and bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
