Mince Pies

use sweet pie dough recipe

Ingredients

• 2 tbspns sugar
• one large egg yolk
• 1 + jar mince meat
• cookie cutters-round fluted + solid round
• regular size muffin pans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Take out dough, bring to room temp.
Roll out dough onto cutting board.
Cut first half into 12 thin circles for bases. Press into muffin pan. Spoon 2 tbspns mince meat into each.
Roll out other dough. Cut 12 other smaller circles with fluted cutter. Poke holes with fork. flip upside down and brush edges with water. Top pies. Brush with egg, sprinkle with sugar.
Bake 15 mins. until golden
