Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 2 lbs. Beef Round Steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 Tbs. Oil
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 1 Cup Celery, diced
  • 1 Green Pepper, diced
  • 1 Can Tomato Soup
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1 Tbs. Cornstarch
  • Mashed Potatoes

Step 1

In a large plastic zipping bag, combine flour, salt and pepper. Add steak pieces, turning and pressing to coat well in flour mixture. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil; brown steaks on all sides but do not cook through. To a slow cooker, add onion, celery, green pepper and soup. Whisk together water and cornstarch; pour over top. Add steak pieces. Cover and cook on high setting for 6-8 hours or on low setting for 10-12 hours. Stir before serving. Serve steak over mashed potatoes; top with tomato gravy from slow cooker. Serves 5-6.
