GRANDMA'S SWEET KUGEL

Ingredients

  • 13 Ounces Broad Egg Noodles
  • 1/4 Cup Margarine or Butter
  • 4 Eggs -- well beaten
  • 6 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Cups Sour Cream
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Cups Cottage Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla
  • Topping
  • 1 Cup Crushed Corn Flakes
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter -- melted

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 325F. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Add butter and mix.

2. After cooling slightly, combine noodles ith all remaining ingredients except topping.

3. Grease 8 x 11 1/2 in./2 L glass baking pan and heat in oven for 5 minutes.

4. Remove from oven and pour noodle misture into hot pan and spread evently.

5. Mix together topping ingredients and spoon over kugel. Pat down gently.

6. Bake for 1 hour or until firm to touch.
