Asparagus With Slivered Garlic Recipe

  • 3 cups diagonally-sliced fresh asparagus
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp dry white wine
  • 2 garlic cloves, slivered
  • 2 tbsp minced red onion
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 dash salt, (optional)

Step 1

1.Blanch the asparagus for 3 minutes in a pot of boiling water and drain.
2. Heat the oil and wine in a skillet over medium heat.
3.Add the garlic and onion and saute for 4 minutes.
4.Toss the mixture with the asparagus.
5.Sprinkle lemon juice, pepper, and salt to serve.
