Ingredients

    Cups Shredded Apples

  • Dough: 2 Cups Flour

  • 2 1/2

    tsp. Baking Powder

  • 1/2

    tsp. Salt

  • 2/3

    Cup Shortening

  • 1/2

    Cup Milk

  • Sauce:

  • 2

    Cups Brown Sugar

  • 2

    Cups Water

  • 1/2

    Cup Butter

  • 1/4

    tsp. Cinnamon

Directions

Roll dough in large piece 1/4" thick. Spread with melted butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Put apples on top and roll as jellyroll. Cut in slices 1 1/4" thick. Put in 10 1/2 x 15 inch pan. Yield: 12-14 rolls. Sauce: Heat sauce ingredients and pour over rolls and bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Serve hot with milk or ice cream.
