Bran Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup sifted all purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cup 40% bran flakes or all bran cereal
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil or shortening
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

1. Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Then set aside
2. Place all brans and milk, and let sit. Add egg and shortening, and beat well. Add dry ingredients and stir only until combined. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.
