Baked Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 10 to 16 ounces of your favorite spaghetti or gluten free spaghetti
  • 2 pounds of ground turkey
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • a few spoon-fulls of fresh minced garlic
  • 1 large can (26 ounce or close to it) of spaghetti sauce
  • 2 small cans of tomato paste
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 T. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 cups of sour cream
  • 1 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups of shredded Mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Brown ground turkey, add onion and garlic and saute until onion is transparent.
Add spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, water & brown sugar.
In a good sized pot cook pasta until al dente and not overdone. Drain and set
aside. When sauce has had a few minutes to simmer, stir in the pasta and
spread half of the mixture into the bottom of a 13" x 9" baking dish. In a small
bowl combine sour cream with parmesan and spread this over the top of first
half of the pasta. Add remaining pasta/sauce mix over the top of the sour cream
mixture, top with mozzarella cheese and bake for about an hour or until bubbly
and beginning to turn golden in areas on top at 375*
