  • Cucumbers, to fill qt jar
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp alum
  • Cold Vinegar
  • 1 c water
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 Tbsp of spices



Step 1

Slice cucumbers and put in qt jar with alum and salt.

Cover with cold vinegar.

Seal and in 2-3 months and then open and pour off the vinegar.

Bring second group of ingredients to a boil and pour over pickles.

They will be ready the next day.
