Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp gelatin
  • 1/4 c cold water
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 4 Tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c milk
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c cream, whipped
  • 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 2 bananas, sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Soften gelatin in water.

Combine sugar, flour, salt, milk, and cook for one minute in double boiler.

Add gelatin and cool.

Beat egg whites, add sugar and beat until stiff.

Fold in whipped cream and egg whites in cooked mixture.

Alternate layers of filling and sliced bananas in baked pie shell.
