Ingredients
- Crust:
- 2 C. flour
- 1/2 C. brown sugar
- 1 C. butter
- Filling:
- 3-8oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 3/4 C. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- Apples:
- 3 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- Streusel:
- 1 C. brown sugar
- 1 C. flour
- 1/2 C. quick cooking oats
- 1/2 C. butter
- 1/2 C. caramel for drizzling
Preparation
Step 1
1.Preheat oven to *350.
In a medium bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter with a pastry cutter until mixture is crumbly. Press into a 9X13 pan lined with foil. Bake 15 minutes.
2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with 3/4C sugar at medium speed till smooth. Add eggs, 1 at a time and vanilla, stir to combine. Pour over warm crust.
In a small bowl, stir together chopped apples, 2 TBS. sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spoon evenly over cream cheese mixture.
3. In a small bowl, combine all streusel ingredients. Use clean hands to thoroughly combine the butter into the mixture. Sprinkle topping over apples. Bake 40-45 minutes, or until filling is set. Drizzle with caramel.
