Pickle, quickly

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. of produce
  • 3 cups white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons pickling spice
  • 1 Tablespoon peppercorns
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Preparation

Step 1

Combine 3 cups white vinegar, 1 1/2 cups water, 3/4 cup sugar, 3 Tablespoons pickling spice, 1 Tablespoon peppercorns, and 2 teaspoons salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat; add 1 jalapeno and 4 dill springs. Pour over your favorite veggies or fruit, and refrigerate for at least an hour.
