German Potatoe Salad (Aunt Loretta)

Ingredients

  • Red Potatoes (Boiled)
  • Bacon (Fry)(Crumble)
  • 1 1/2 - 2 Cups white vinegar
  • 1/2 Cut water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 heaping teaspoons flour
  • Grated raw onions

Preparation

Step 1

Do not cut potatoes until cool.
Pour Bacon Grease into cup -- Do not use until cool.

Sauce: Start with clean pan (Low Heat)
Add white vinegar and Water
- Bring to Boil, add sugar, flour, keep stirring.

Layer in pan, potatoes, salt, pepper, celery seed, next layer grated raw onions, then bacon, sauce, and etc. Repeat.
