Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups sifted flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup shortening or butter - melted
  • 2 1/4 cups brown sugar (1 lb pkg)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)
  • 1 large bag choc chips

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour and baking powder together.
Melt butter/shortening add brown sugar and egg - 1 at a time, then dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate chips. Put in a big greased cake pan and don't over bake!

Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes.
