Heart-to-Heart Cheesecake

On Valentine's Day, decorate a store-bought cheesecake with this stunning spiral of hearts.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 c + 2T orange juice
  • 3 T sugar
  • 1.5 T lemon curd
  • 3/4 c sour cream
  • 9 " cheesecake

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a saucepan, bring raspberries, orange juice, & sugar to a boil.
2. Reduce heat & simmer, stirring, until thick but not jamlike, 10 min.
3. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer (scrape bottom w/a spatula) into a bowl.
4. Refrigerate until chilled.
5. In a bowl, fold lemon curd into the sour cream; spread over cheesecake in a deliberate spiral design.
6. Transfer raspberry sauce to a pastry bag w/a small opening.
7. Dot sauce (each dot smaller than a chocolate chip) in a spiral.
8. Starting at the outermost edge, drag a toothpick through the center of each dot w/o stopping. Serve immediately.
