Microwave Divinity

Ingredients

  • 4 C sugar
  • 1 C corn syrup
  • 3/4 C water
  • 3 egg whites
  • dash salt
  • 1 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cook sugar, syrup and water on high in microwave for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. On last 5 minute cycle, beat egg whites with salt in large bowl.
With mixer on medium speed, beat hot syrup (pouring very slowly) into egg whites. Add vanilla and beat til candy almost loses it's gloss. Drop quickly by spoonful onto wax paper. When set, store in an airtight container.
Cna use cherry juice, mint extract, food coloring, etc if desired.
