Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Ingredients
- 1/2 butter
- 2/3 white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 C buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 C cornmeal
- 1 C all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation
Step 1
1/ Preheat 375 with 8 inch pan
2. Melt butter. Add sugar. Quickly add eggs and beat until well blended. Combine buttermilk with baking soda and stir into mixture in pan. Stir in cornmeal, flour and salt until well blended and few lumps remain. Pour batter into prepared pan.
3. Baked in preheated plan for 30 to 40 min.
