teriyaki fish fillets

This is a combination of two recipes. Very yummy.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbls honey
  • 3 tbls soy sauce
  • 3 tbls balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 tbls olive oil
  • 1 1/2 lbs. halibut or cod. any thick white fish

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients except fish (duh). pour over fish. cover and refridgerate at least an hour.

To Grill: Remove fish, reserving marinade. Cover and grill fish about 4 inches from medium coals, turning once and brushing occasionally with reserved marinade, until fish flakes easily with a fork, 12 to 20 minutes. Garnish with a lemon wedge and parsely sprigs if desired.

Stovetop: heat 1 tbsp. oil in lg skillet over med-high heat. Fry fish 4 to 6 minutes on each side, turning only once until fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove fillets to a platter and keep warm.

Pour reserved marinade into the skillet and heat over med. heat until the mixture reduces to a glaze consistency. Spoon glaze over fish and serve.
