Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 large celery rib, chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced or crushed
- 1 tsp. minced jalepeno (opt)
- 16 oz. stewed tomatoes
- 8 oz. Tomato sauce
- 8 oz. tomato paste
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. ea salt, garlic salt, onion salt
- 1/8 tsp. paprika
- 1 bay leaf crumbled
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2/3 cup beer
- 16 oz can kidney beans, drained
Preparation
Step 1
Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper, celery and garlic in olive oil til onion is tender. Add all other ingredients except kidney beans. Heat to boil, then reduce heat. Cover & simmer 2 hours or cook uncovered 45 minutes. Stir occasionally. Stir in beans at the end and heat through.
