Pineapple, Kale, Coconut Oil Smoothie

Broccoli is great for your body’s detoxification system– it’s full of vitamins C and K. Vitamin C helps repair your body’s tissues, aids in iron absorption, and decreases “bad” LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. And vitamin K supports your bones, regulates your blood, and helps your body transport calcium.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups kale
  • 1/2 cup fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • 2 cups fresh cut pineapple
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • squeeze of lime juice

Preparation

Step 1

Blend kale, coconut oil and water first for 30 seconds (or until it is a juice-like consistency). Add frozen fruits 1 cup at a time and blend for an additional 30-45 seconds. Add remaining fresh fruits and blend until desired smoothness. Serve immediately for best texture and to receive optimal nutrients.
