Milk Chocolate Florentine Cookies

Milk Chocolate Florentine Cookies 1 Picture


  • 10 tbs unsalted butter
  • 2 cups uncooked quick oats
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup milk ( 1% works)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk chocolate morsels



Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 375. Melt butter in a medium sauce pan over low heat, remove from heat, stir in oats, sugar, flour, corn syrup, milk, salt and vanilla.
2. Drop by measuring tsps about 3 inches apart on parchment lined cookie sheets. Spread thin with a dampened spatula(dipped in water)
3. Bake until golden brown about 8 to 8 1/2 minutes, Cool on Cookie sheets
4.When cool , remove cookies and placed on wired cookie racks
5. Melt chocolate chip morsels in the microwave. Microwave for i minute , stir and microwave for 10 seconds till almost smooth, you may have to repeat the 10 second cycle if not almost smooth
6. Spread chocolate on flat side of half the cookies, top with reamining cookies. Place on wired rack till chocolate is set.
7. Store in airtight container with waxed paper between layers
