Rape al Forno

Pan-roasted turnips.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 lbs small turnips, scrubbed and quartered
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

In a large saute pan heat butter over medium-high heat until melted and beginning to brown. Add turnips, season, and toss. Add poppy seeds and saute until turnips are golden, 8-9 mins.

Add paprika and toss. Add vinegar, bring to a boil, and cook until evaporated. Serve hot.
