Lamb with Yogurt Marinade - Emeril Lagasse


The marinade is for a 5 pound leg of lamb. Halve the recipe for a 2 1/2 pound leg of lamb.
You can grill this on the bbq, or on a grill pan on the stove

  • For 5 lb. leg of lamb:
  • 1 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 2 tsp curshed oregano
  • 2 tbsp fresh marjoram
  • 1 head garlic, minced
  • 2 onions, sliced thinly



Step 1

Make the marinade and coat the lamb in a non reactive pan, or a bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight*. Marinade for a minimum of 4 hours.
Bring lamb to room temperature.

Cook lamb 10 minutes on each side for rare. Allow to rest for a minimum of 5 minutes
