After investing in such expensive cookware, it just makes sense to want to keep it functioning at its best. A good rubbing with Bar Keepers Friend powder usually does the trick. But if you've got oil stains left behind, this solution worked for me, in a situation I thought was hopeless. Comments welcome!

  • 2 Tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 cup water

Step 1

Put water and baking soda into the pan, whisking in the baking soda while bringing the liquid to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to soak for 20-30 minutes, then scrub off the residue with a nylon scrubber.

If necessary, finish with an overall scrubbing using Bar Keepers Friend.
