Ingredients
- 4 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 cup Crisco shortening
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tbsp red cider vinegar
- 1 egg
Preparation
Step 1
Mix 4 cup flour, 1 Tbsp sugar and 2 tsp salt in bowl, add 1 3/4 cup Crisco shortening. Using meat fork mix until crumbly like cornmeal. In a separate small bowl add 1/2 cup water, 1 Tbsp red cider vinegar and 1 egg. Whip together. Pour into flour mixture and with fork blend together - then use hands to thoroughly mix - don't over kneed the mixture too much. Put towel over top of bowl and chill for 15 minutes in fridge. Take out of fridge and roll out on floured surface.
