Ingredients
- 2 T unsalted butter
- 1 C all-purpose flour
- 3/4 C packed light brown sugar
- 5 T unsweetened cocoa powder, divided
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 C light cream
- 1 T vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 C packed dark brown sugar
- 1 3/4 C hot water
- Whipped cream (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Coat inside of 4 1/2 qt slow cooker with butter, Combine flour, light brown sugar, 3 T cocoa, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in medium bowl. Add cream, oil and vanilla,; stir well to combine. Pour batter into slow cooker.
Combine dark brown sugar and remaining 2 T cocoa in medium bowl. Add hot water; stir well to combine. Pour sauce over cake batter. Do not stir. Cover; cook on HIGH 2 hours.
Spoon portions of pudding cake onto plates. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
