Ingredients
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 T. basil
- 1 1/2 t. salt
- 1 lb. canned tomatoes
- 12 oz. tomato paste
- 15 oz. tomato sauce
- 10 oz. (8 slices) lasagna
- 3 cups fresh ricotta
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- 2 T. parsley flakes
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. pepper
- 1 lb. thinly sliced mozzarella

Preparation
Step 1
Brown meat slowly and drain off excess fat. Add next 6 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 30 min., stirring occasionally.
Cook noodles per package directions, drain, rinse and set aside on waxed paper.
Combine remaining ingredients except mozzarella. Place 1/2 the noodles in a 9x13 pan. Spread with 1/2 the ricotta filling. Add 1/2 the mozzarella slices and then 1/2 the meat sauce. Repeat layers.
Bake at 375° 40 min. Let stand 10 min. before cutting
