    lb. Italian sausage

    clove garlic, minced

    T. basil

  • 1 1/2

    t. salt

    lb. canned tomatoes

  • 12

    oz. tomato paste

  • 15

    oz. tomato sauce

  • 10

    oz. (8 slices) lasagna

  • 3

    cups fresh ricotta

  • 1/2

    cup grated parmesan

  • 2

    T. parsley flakes

  • 2

    beaten eggs

  • 2

    t. salt

  • 1/2

    t. pepper

  • 1

    lb. thinly sliced mozzarella

Directions

Brown meat slowly and drain off excess fat. Add next 6 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 30 min., stirring occasionally. Cook noodles per package directions, drain, rinse and set aside on waxed paper. Combine remaining ingredients except mozzarella. Place 1/2 the noodles in a 9x13 pan. Spread with 1/2 the ricotta filling. Add 1/2 the mozzarella slices and then 1/2 the meat sauce. Repeat layers. Bake at 375° 40 min. Let stand 10 min. before cutting
