Ingredients

  • For Icing:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. maple flavoring
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. In a mixer, blend together eggs, both sugars and butter. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, milk, salt and maple flavoring. Blend well.

3. Place scoops on ungreased baking sheet (about 1 1/2 Tbsp. worth). Dip teaspoon in water and press tops gently to flatten.

4. Bake 10 minutes. All to cool on baking racks.

5. Make icing: Put 2 cups powdered sugar in a medium bowl. By hand, blend in maple syrup and butter. Add more liquid or powdered sugar if needed to adjust consistancy.

6. Frost cookies. Makes 130 cookies
