Cheese and Bacon Muffins

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 Cup grated sharp cheese
  • 4-5 slices of bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil

Preparation

Step 1

Measure first six dry ingredients into large bowl. Stir thoroughly. Make a well in the center.

Beat egg slightly in small bowl. Mix in milk and oil. Pour into well. Stir only to moisten. Batter will be lumpy. Fill greased muffin cups 3/4 full.

Bake 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Remove from pan.

Serve warm.


Note: Exchange mild for 1 tin condensed cream of chicken or mushroom soup for another different savory muffin.
