Ingredients

  • 4 tomatillos
  • 2 small cloves garlic, peeled
  • 3 - 5 Serrano peppers
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 3 avocados
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cup cilantro, chopped (or to personal preference)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a pan on high heat, roast tomatillos, garlic cloves and peppers. Regularly turn items until all sides are slightly blackened. Remove roasted ingredients from pan and place in a food processor with about 2 Tbsp of water, process until chopped and blended. De-pit avocados and discard pits; remove pulp from skin. In bowl, combine avocado pulp with processed garlic/peppers/tomatillo mixture. Add diced onion and cilantro. Salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
